This symposium is for senior high school students who are interested in learning about basic and clinical cancer research. The event will include a keynote speaker (Dr. Daniela Quail, Assistant Professor), an interactive panel discussion, and hands-on activities. During the panel discussion, the students will get a chance to interact with a post-doctoral researcher, senior scientist, a cancer survivor, and a genetic counsellor. Let’s Talk Cancer symposiums provide your students with a unique opportunity to join a dialogue with local academic researchers about the most up-to-date understanding of cancer biology and how it can open new possibilities for treatment. As a participant in Let’s Talk Cancer, the students will step into the shoes of scientists and clinicians to understand how discoveries in the lab are leading to innovations in patient care.
