WHO WE ARE
We are a volunteer group of the Canadian Cancer Society. We are graduate students and post-doctoral fellows in cancer research labs who are specifically focused on communicating research to the public.
WHAT DO WE DO?
Throughout the year, we volunteer at several events and fundraisers for cancer research. We encourage the public to ask us questions regarding the intricacies of research and how progress is advancing in various fields.

Helping The Community
Working with the Canadian Cancer Society, we communicate the impact of cancer research, including society-funded research, to you through our blogs as well as several fundraising and educational events across Montreal.

Reinforcing our Commitment
By sharing advances in cancer research with the public, we aim to increase awareness of cancer research, cancer diagnosis and prevention. Through our events, we aim to bridge the community between research advances and the public through our events and social media prescence.

At RIOT/DÉSIR, we understand that cancer affects many components of our lives and we are dedicated to providing educational support to answer any questions one may have on cancer research and advances in the field.
